Wall Street Journal: Real Estate (May 5, 2021) - My first publication in The Wall Street Journal. I photographed this beautiful craftsman home set on a 3.2-acre horse ranch in Windsor, CA, and WSJ is running 21 of my photos in their Real Estate section.

National Geographic: The Beauty of Birds: December 10, 2018 - My image, "Twist Face," was selected from 12,500+ submissions. "National Geographic joined with the National Audubon Society, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Birdlife International, and many other leading organizations to declare 2018 the Year of the Bird. The Year of the Bird marks the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, visionary legislation that the National Geographic Society helped pass in 1918 as one of the earliest federal laws protecting wildlife. In honor of this milestone, we partnered with to help birds today and for the next hundred years." 

National Geographic: Daily Dozen.  July 24, 2017 - "Peter Mel at Mavericks".  Nat Geo photo editor, Matt Adams, wrote an editor's note for this image: "This wave is pretty incredible, and I have to say that I am just in awe of the power of the ocean. Love the timing of this image and how you captured the surfer riding right alongside this monster as it heads towards the shore. Incredible scene!" 

Surfer Magazine: February 4, 2017 "Francisco Porcella: Mavericks Redemption" - Italian big wave surfer rides a twenty-five-foot wave at Mavericks, on his backside.  My photo was run on the home page of Surfer.com.

Shutterbug Magazine Cover May 2015 - That's me on the cover of Shutterbug. My friend and fellow photographer, Josh Miller, snapped the Shutterbug cover image of me photographing waterfalls in Yosemite National Park.  Ironic that my first photographic cover shot is not a photograph I took.
